Nei Gong – Level 2 Training
16th of February 2018
- Taught by Damo Mitchell and senior students
- Only those students eligible to train at Level 2 able to book onto these events. Please see guidance on this below if you are unsure as to eligibility
Once students have completed their foundation training at level 1 there is the option to continue deeper into the Nei Gong syllabus by learning material from our second level. Our Nei Gong system is divided into three stages of complexity to enable students to develop a strong basis at each stage and then progress systematically towards expertise in the internal arts.
At the second level of Nei Gong training students have already opened the channels of the body and built a solid structure. The lower Dan Tian should be consolidated and a great deal of the purging should have been done. Now it is time to start accessing the internal environment of the body with deeper practice. The aim is now to generate a healthy and strong central channel, build up more Qi within the body and then pressurise this Qi to assist in its mobilisation and use. Practice of advanced Dao Yin exercises then help to direct the pressurised Qi through deeper channels of the body. Channels we will need at the third stage for alchemical advancement.
Practices at level 2 may include:
- Zhan Zhuang and Ding Shi practice
- Inwardly directed sound work and advanced Mantra practice
- Exercises at Level 2
- San Yuan Qi Gong
- Heng O Dao Yin
- Dan Tian Gong at Level 2
- Ba Xian Dao Yin
On a level 2 Nei Gong day we generally start with structural practice and ‘accessing the insides’ through static and moving Qi Gong exercises. From there we tend to focus on one aspect of the level 2 syllabus other exercises from the list above. Only when students are ready so we begin the compressing of Qi and study of the Ba Xian exercises.
The course takes place over one day in Compton Dundon, near Glastonbury in the south of the UK.
Meadway Hall, Ham Lane, Compton Dundon, TA11 6PQ
The cost of the days training is: 75 euros
The day runs from 9am until 5pm with an hour’s break for lunch. Students should find local accommodation in Glastonbury.
The Nei Gong process taught by Damo Mitchell and Lotus Nei Gong is a classical process and is, at times, very strong. For this reason we do not recommend that anybody with psychological disorders or those with serious medical issues/needs attend these events. There are many ‘medical’ Qi Gong schools out there that would be more appropriate for these kinds of needs. Nei Gong is also not suitable for pregnant women or anybody under the age of 18 years old. Lastly we reserve the right to ask any student to leave the training immediately if we deem the training to be unsuitable for them or a risk to their well-being
Nei Gong Level 2
Level 2 Nei Gong courses can only be attended by those who have trained consistently with us for three years or more attending a number of events. They must also be familiar with our basic exercises taken from the Qi Gong and Dao Yin sets we include within our syllabus. They also need to have been given the go ahead to attend a level 2 event by either Damo Mitchell or their own regular teacher if they are under one of the other teachers in the school. If you are unsure on whether or not you meet these criteria then just send us an email and ask
